—Tariq is a Greensboro based photographer and videographer who is inspired by sports, music & fashion. Tariq started capturing memories from an iPhone which led to getting a camera and taking on this new journey with 7+ years. Tariq enjoys creating memories for others to always look back on and reminisce.

The name “SoleShotYa” was inspired by a few things, Sole in which is the bottom of the shoe just represents the love he has for shoes and seeing what spike lee did as a creator truly inspired me. It started with the retro Jordan’s each shoe had a different look to it just like each person who books with me vision is different. But it doesn’t stop their Tariq love for music had a play into this name as well, Growing up in the 90s R&B was all Tariq listened to as it was good “soul music” However Tariq happened to be listening to the late great Notorious B.I.G when he heard “Who Shot Ya” and it clicked from there to create the name “SoleShotYa”
